It had been a few weeks since the Dames 1 team has received any, so it was very important to go into these games with a lot of energy.
First off we had a derby game against HDM at their home ground. So we knew it would be a tough one.
There were plenty of spectators around and KZ once again brought their loud voices to take on the home crowd.
HDM started the game with a lot of pressure and pressed very aggressively. They were rewarded with a PC 6 minutes into the game and HDM scored their first goal with a drag flick to take them into the lead. However, 2 minutes later we came back to make it 1-1, with an outstanding tip in from Demi Lefranc.
The game was end to end for the remainder of the first half with a few missed chances from both teams. Going into the second half we knew we had to step up and bring more energy. But HDM came out with more pressure on our defence and forced a stroke from a bad tackle and scored in the 48th minute. Going into the 4th quarter 1-2 down we needed to do something special and in the last 8 minutes we took the goal keeper off. We utilised our extra striker and Lise Bom scored in the 70th minute to claim the 2-2 draw. When the finale whistle went we celebrated loud and were very happy to take one point from the derby match.
